ALTERNATIVE INCA TRAIL SALCANTAY TO MACHUPICCHU 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS

This is an alternative route to the classic Inca Trail to Machupicchu, which will take you through amazing landscape and natural beauty with exotic flora and fauna endemic of the region. The trek will involve crossing valleys and mountains before arriving to the “Lost City of the Incas”, Machupicchu.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: cusco - soraypampa (L) (D):

The First Day - El primer Dia

Pick you up from your hotel (6:40 a.m.), we approached the bus to Mollepata town, arriving approximately at 9:30am, where you will have your breakfast after that we are going to walk by two hours, appreciating great diversity of flora and fauna, later we will arrive at Soraypampa site for our lunch and here we will spend the night.

Soraypampay chaullay Day 2:soraypampa - chaullay (B) (L) (D)

This day will be the most amazing and complicated trek because After the breakfast, we continued walking until crossing a step that this to 4650 m.a.s.l, appreciating the beauty andean mountain, we descend by the mountain, later we tasted the lunch in Wayracmachay after that we will continue the treek and we will arrive at Chaullay, place of our camping.

Day 3: chaullay – la playa (B) (L) (D)

Early we will take the breakfast and we will continue walking Where along the road we can see all kind of flora and fauna, in the passage we will visit inka bridges, also we will be able to observe the flora and exotic fauna of the zone, after 5 hours we will arrive at La playa camp, a small villa, where we will have our lunch and dinner (overnight).

OPCIONAL ACTIVITY

Once we arrive to the campsite "LA PLAYA" , You will have an optional activity ;go to the hot spring of Santa Teresa and stay there around two hours aproximately, after that we are going to come back to the campsite LA PLAYA to stay overnight.

Day 4:la playa - hidroelectrica - aguas calientes (B) (L)

After the Breakfast we will take a turistic bus with destiny to hidroelectrica where we will have our lunch, after that, we will take the train to go to Aguas Calientes (30 min.) this will be the last night to us, we will accommodate in a hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 5:machupicchu - cusco( B )

MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO After the breakfast we will take the turistic bus toward the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu, we'll have a visit guided by approximately two hours, next we have free time to take pictures, etc. Return in bus to Aguas Calientes to approach the train to Cusco city.
