THE SECOND DAY Abra de Huarmihuanusca ("Dead Woman's Pass") The Dead Woman's Pass is the highest point on the Inca Trail - some 4200 meters (or 13650 feet) above sea level. It apparently takes its name from the arrangement of the terrain which is said to represent a woman lying on her back. The views from the top provide excellent views of nearby mountains such as Salkantay and Veronika. The coordinates for Abra de Huarmihuanusca are 13°14'35.34"S, 72°29'0.89"W.
